Can’t Zip Up Those Boots? There’s a surgery for that, and some Houston women are taking measures to slim their legs and calves to battle these trouble spots & problem areas.
HOUSTON, TX; Rodeo time is here in Houston which means it’s time to break out the cowboy & cowgirl boots and jeans for the month of March. But for many women, boot & jeans season (especially jeans shopping) can be a total pain the calves. Yes, we’re talking about the dreaded “boot bulge,” when your calves can’t squeeze into popular tight-fitting, knee-high styles.
Houston Plastic Surgeon Dr. Franklin Rose recently performed calf-reduction liposuction surgery on Monica’s ankles, calves, thighs, and knee areas to give her legs better definition so she can look her best in her boots & jeans this year.

HOUSTON – “The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo doesn’t just bring out the best in livestock and entertainment.
It’s all about the fashion, too — from the hats, jeans belts and of course the boots.
For some women, finding the perfect pair of boots is nearly impossible, and they’re willing to go under the knife for slimmer legs.
Monica, 39, is one of those women. This year Monica decided to take a drastic step towards getting the calves of her dreams by having calf boot surgery, also known as calf liposuction.
Monica went to renowned Houston plastic surgeon Dr. Franklin Rose.
To give her calves a more symmetrical and contoured look, Rose also performed liposuction on Escobar’s knees and thighs.
Escobar’s entire surgery took about an hour and a half. The cost was $4,000.
She is already making plans to enjoy the final week of this year’s rodeo.”
